In April, a report by the news agency PTI came out, in which it was told that the BCCI is spending about 500 crores for renovation on a total of 5 grounds for the preparations for the World Cup 2023.These 5 grounds include Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Mohali.
According to the report, Rs 100 crore was spent on the renovation of Delhi’s stadium, Rs 117.17 crore for Hyderabad, Rs 127.47 crore for Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens, Rs 79.46 crore for the old PCA stadium in Mohali and Rs 78.82 crore for Wankhede. There will be expenses.
But now when the World Cup schedule came out, the fans were surprised to see that only three matches would be played at the ground where BCCI spent more than Rs 117 crores and none of these matches would be played by the Indian team.
According to the World Cup schedule, Pakistan will play two of these three matches.
The matches of the World Cup 2023 in Hyderabad are as follows-
6 October – Pakistan vs Qualifier-1
19 October – New Zealand vs Qualifier-1
12 October – Pakistan vs Qualifier-2
Talking about the Indian team, except Hyderabad, the team is going to play its matches in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Dharamshala, Lucknow, Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru.The Indian team is going to play its opening match in the World Cup 2023 against Australia on 8 October in Chennai.At the same time, you will get to see the great match between India and Pakistan on October 15, which will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
