Instagram head Adam Mosseri said in an interview, “Hopefully this idea will become an open and friendly space between communities.” Meta had been working on the Threads app for a long time. It has been made live for Android and iOS users. The interface of the app is similar to Instagram and the features are quite similar to Twitter. An Instagram account is required to sign up for the new app. A user’s Instagram handle must also be their Threads username. If people want, they can bring the people they follow on Instagram directly to the threads. Verified users of Instagram will also be verified in threads. Users can make their Threads account public or private. 

How to Download

The new Threads app can be downloaded from both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. By going to Play Store or App Store, you have to write Threads by Instagram in the search window, after which you will see the list of apps. Download Threads, an Instagram App from these. The icon of this app resembles the ‘@’ sign and was created by Instagram.

As soon as the app is downloaded, you will get the option to login with the help of Instagram. If you are already an Instagram user then you will be logged in after single tap and approval. You can import profile bio and other information like links from Instagram itself. After this tap on ‘Join Threads’ and use the app.

How to sign up for Threads

• First download the Threads app on your iOS or Android device.
• Now open the app and click on “Log in with Instagram”.
• If you already have the Instagram app installed on your device, Threads will automatically log you in.
• If you don’t have the Instagram app, enter your Instagram credentials manually to complete the sign-up process.
